Australia’s first mid-stream lithium refinery

Port Hedland Lithium (PHL) is establishing a lithium sulphate refinery located at the Boodarie Strategic Industrial Area, near Port Hedland, Western Australia

PHL’s lithium sulphate will feed into TVL’s merchant lithium refinery in Teesside, UK.

PHL’s key unique benefits are:

  • 43ha freehold site located in the Boodarie Strategic Industrial Area with access to power, water, gas and major highways which lead directly into the Port Hedland port (including the new Lumsden Point berth).

  • Neighbouring some of the world’s largest spodumene producers.

  • Utilising a tried and tested processing route to convert Australian spodumene (SC6) to higher-value lower-volume lithium sulphate.

  • Access to Alinta Energy’s renewable power network, including solar, wind, and battery storage.

  • Baseline Flora & Fauna survey completed June 2023.

  • Class 4 Study completed by Wave International in August 2023.
